Hi there! I haven't written a journal entry as of yet, so I thought I would today. I guess I should introduce myself first of all. The name's Andy, and I'm a British teenager. ;D

I've had several deviantART accounts before this, but this time I signed up just to look at other people's stuff, and not obsess over my own creations. I have to say that I'm finding it much more enjoyable; I'm getting to know more people, (and then I get to know them better), and I'm learning tons of things from looking at all the fabulous art on the site!

If you're wondering what 'my own creations' are, the answer is writing. I LOVE writing, although I should probably write more often! It's very hard to write when you don't have any ideas. I suffer from writer's block.* I usually stick to writing small fantasy stories, but sometimes I get bored and delve into the realms of poetry. I'm really, really crap at poetry. Seriously. xD

& Yes, I want to be an author when I grow up. 8D I really don't see it happening, but I'll try. LOL. Just picture this:

A small, esoteric cottage in the Quantocks (Somerset, England), with a view spanning the entirety of the hills. The downstairs shall be completely open plan, as it often is with smallish cottages. & It's furniture shall fit with the surroundings; large antique bookshelves filled with leather bound books shall line the walls, and a wooden coffee table shall sit in the center of the room, its substantial knots creating an uneven surface, making it appear as if it's been cut straight from a tree. The main focal point of the room shall be a grand fireplace, laden with candles and branches and photos of family/friends. There shall be french windows opening onto acres of green field. & There'd be a wooden fence marking a small area for guests to enjoy, separate from the land I'd use to keep animals and grow vegetables/herbs. A campervan would be parked in the corner of this area; a place for visitors to sleep & a handy vehicle to have if I wanted to go traveling. Plants would grow wild; a wide array of species would mingle amongst each other.** In the area the other side of the 'show' area, I'd have dozens of herbs and vegetables, and I'd use them in almost every meal I made. I think there should be a horse too. I love horses. ^^ It'd be dark, strong and sinewy, perhaps half shire. & I'd ride it around the Somerset countryside.

& When all that isn't being looked after, I'd be tucked away in a small study, writing my next novel. xD

I guess I want to be an author not only because I love to write, but because of the lifestyle that comes with the job. The freedom of being able to work how I want, when I want. Obviously I'd have to go into another career before this, how would I be able to afford that cottage otherwise! D;

In the meantime, I'm your average male teenager. I talk to my friends, I watch TV, I listen to music... Well, who doesn't love music!? I'm yet to meet someone who doesn't enjoy listening to music. I think I'm always singing or humming or whistling or... you get it. xD I like most music, and I must own at least one song from every genre out there.

Looks wise, I'm tall, (6'0?) I've got medium length brown hair and green eyes. & I have braces. Blue ones. ^^ I didn't want blue ones, the first time I went they were purple and green, and I asked the orthodontist for the same again, but he gave me blue instead. I was like: 'Hff! ?!&$ you, scary teeth-obsessed pervert!' I wasn't, but wouldn't it be cool if I said that?! LOL. My most-worn clothes are black skinnies, my green t-shirt and my apple-green converse. :]

I guess that's it really. If anyone actually did read this, I'm sorry for wasting your time/boring you/damaging the environment by keeping you on your computer for longer. x)

Andy. (~Owim.) < I really dunno where I pulled that username from. LOL.

*Procrastination.
**& I wouldn't use a hose or a sprinkler; I'd use the trusty watering can. It saves water, and it's kind of relaxing. Zen, y'know? Repetitive actions such as watering and washing-up give me time to think about life, the universe and everything. I do a lot of thinking, especially about religion, spirituality and the universe in the general. Philosophical stuff. It's nice to establish in my own mind what I do and don't believe though. ;D  I've been doing a lot of this recently, just trundling through the school day, my brain revisiting things that are unanswerable over & over.
